PLEASE READ IT AND BEWARE!!! We have hired this driver in November of 2020. First couple of months he seemed as a good driver. Every week he took $200 cash advance even thought his paychecks were over $2k a week. After running for couple months he stopped in OKC and told us a story that his father has passed away and asked for a $500. We offered him to fly him home which he declined. Next day he asked additional $400 which we approved. After receiving $900 on top of his regular $200 advance he disappeared for 3 days while under the load. After that he was ok for another couple of months until once again he went thru OKC and once again came up with a emergency that he needed $500 additional dollars on top of his $200 weekly advance. Since it was an "emergency" we have approved it once again. And to our surprise he disappeared for 3 days again while being under load. After that, couple more months passed by when he was scheduled to go home but after his delivery close by home he demanded $500 on top of his another $200 advance which this time we refused to give him. So he told us that he will park the truck at the truck stop and we can come and get it because he will quit if we don give him more money. After couple of hours we came into mutual agreement that he will stay and start driving in a couple of days. And to our shock next morning we have noticed he used our fuel card to pump out over 800 gallons of fuel in the matter of 6 hours in the middle of the night. That's when we blocked his fuel card and started to try to reach him with no luck. At that point we coordinated another driver to go to Atlanta and recover our truck. We had police assist since he was parked in a shady area. When our recovery driver got there he was shocked. Melvin was so high on drugs that he didn't even know what was happening and our truck was stripped like never seen before. In just 2 days Melvin removed and sold X-Guard deer guard with brackets, all of the mud flaps with brackets, over 800 gallons of fuel, original Volvo refrigerator, microwave, memory foam mattress, power inverter, power distributor box that distributes power throughout the truck , all of the power outlets, 4 sets of brand new snow chains, fuel caps and privacy curtains. Total estimated cost of stolen things was over $9k. Police report was made and investigation was started. So if you do decide to hire this drug addict and thief please beware of the possible outcome.
