CDL Driver Recruiter

The Driver Recruiter will focus on recruitment-related activities of owner-operators, ensuring applicable department position requirements are met, compensation strategy, and facilitate and drive the full-cycle recruitment process.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Analyze recruitment needs. Develop/maintain cost-effective recruitment strategies surrounding job posting, cold calling, trade-shows, industry-related events, etc.
  • Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media, trade-shows, industry-related events, etc.
  • Screen candidate’s resumes and job applications
  • Assess applicants ‘relevant knowledge, qualifications, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
  • Provide analytical and well documented reports to the manager
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring groups including routing schedules and resumes, making travel arrangements, when necessary, and gathering interview feedback
  • Schedule candidates for interviews, both telephone and on-site
  • Knowledge of state and federal labor laws/guidelines as it pertains to the hiring process (EEOC, FSLA, DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, or Business related field or applicable experience in the successful recruitment of owner-operators
  • 2-3 years of experience recruiting owner-operators
  • Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)
  • Proven Track record in recruiting owner-operators
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience working with all types of clients/co-workers (Drivers to C-Suite levels)
  • High energy and self-determination to bring results
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, ATS, Social Media, Internet
